This is a museum dedicated Dr. Hideyo Noguchi, renowned bacteriologist whose portrait is on the 1,000 yen note. Inside his birthplace has been preserved and shows the fireplace where Hideyo burned his left hand. The exhibition room displays many of his belongings and materials to help visitors get a deeper understanding of his life.
